We were honored to have Cheryl Hurd from NBC Bay Area join us as our Master of Ceremonies. Cheryl has been honored with an award from the Bay Area Black Journalist Association and four Emmy awards.
Cheryl is one of the founding members of Friends of Faith, a non-profit organization that raises money for women from the East Bay who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

JANET NAPOLITANO, keynote speaker at our 15th anniversary celebration, is a Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. She served as the twentieth president of the University of California.
President Napolitano earned her B.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science from Santa Clara University, and her J.D. from the University of Virginia. She is based in Berkeley, CA.
2020 was a milestone year for PCF in many ways. We celebrated our 15th year of helping low-income, first-generation scholars successfully graduate from college in four years and be career ready in their area of interest.
At PCF, we believe One Student, First-Generation, One Degree, Lasting Impact! We attribute much of our scholars’ success to our robust wraparound services: a four-year scholarship, one-on-one adult mentoring, training, and internship support.

An outstanding 87% of PCF scholars have earned a bachelor’s degree within six years, over four times the graduation rate for low- income, first-generation students nationwide.
PCF has awarded over 440 scholarships to deserving scholars in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Currently, PCF has over 240 scholars enrolled in 4-year colleges nationwide.
