Internships & Career Readiness

In today’s challenging job market, it’s not enough for a college student to graduate with a degree. Students need job experience that prepares them for a career.

To meet this need PCF enhanced it's wrap-a-round services in 2016 to include a career services department. This program is focused on assisting scholars in successfully transistioning from academia into the workforce through a series of career focused programs, with one of them being internship placement.

High-Impact Internships
Career readiness and awareness is the focus of this program.  PCF's internship services is designed to assist junior scholars in securing summer or academic year internship to enhance their understanding of the workforce, industry knowledge, types of career opportunities that are available and to them hone the skills employers are looking for when hiring college graduates.  This program has been very successful to date as 70-78% of PCF juniors have secured a high-impact internship since the programs inception.  Starting in 2019, PCF is extending it's internship services to it's sophomore scholars focusing on exploritory internships.
