“This program will help motivate more underrepresented minority students to attend college. With the mentoring, summer internships and financial support, students will realize they have a lot of support to help them be successful in college and beyond.”

STUDENT SELECTION

Selection of scholarship recipients is based upon educational achievement, student potential, character and individual financial need. Candidates are required to submit an application and essay. Recommendations from both a high school teacher and outside individual are required.

A panel comprised of volunteers select scholarship winners in the spring of their senior year. Throughout college, the scholarship recipients are required to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, write to the donors twice a year and remain a student in good standing with confirmation from a student academic advisor. Similarly, each recipient must attend the college success worshops conducted by our program.
