At East Side College Prep, Ruby maintained a strong academic record even with an extremely rigorous course load that included 3 AP classes. She was a four year member of their nationally acclaimed school newspaper and most recently their sports page editor. She was a member of the Student Council and the Council’s Steering Committee. During her junior summer, Ruby was awarded a scholarship to study abroad in Spain. After college Ruby plans to come back to her community and create an after-school program to help young kids pursue their dreams. She will attend UCLA in the fall.
