 Marisol: Marisol, graduating from East Palo Alto High School, (EPAHS), has not only been focused on academic achievement, but has been very active in other aspects of her school and community. At school, she was elected Vice-President of the Student Council, selected by her peers as Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team, and became a founding member of the Gay Straight Alliance, helping to create a community accepting of the diversity of students at EPAHS. In her community, Marisol has been involved with Foundation for a College Education, BUILD, a program developing entrepreneurial skills in young adults and currently volunteers at New Voices for Youth, a television broadcast show in the community. Marisol will attend UC Santa Cruz. |
