HashinaHashina has aspirations of becoming a child psychologist so she can help youth overcome obstacles they are facing. She already does this at the Boys and Girls Club in Menlo Park where she mentors youth and leads the “Girls for a Change Action Team.” Hashina has traveled with the Keystone Teen Leadership group to Washington, Minnesota, and Atlanta to learn from National Boys & Girls Club facilitators. At East Palo Alto Academy, Hashina also participates in many activities including Student Council, the Yearbook Committee, and the Polynesian Club and she is very active in her church. She will be attending Cal State East Bay in Hayward in the fall.
