“I would like to appropriately name Liliana, a Bilingual and Academic Superwoman!”  The words of one of her teachers.  Not only is she bilingual and smart but she also loves to give back.  Liliana volunteers at the library, is a tutor at her old elementary school and for a religious program dedicated to helping disabled children.  She does all this while still keeping her grades up and helping out at home with her two younger siblings. Liliana has a good understanding of what she wants to gain from college as she proves in the quote, “I think that the knowledge gained during college will benefit me in my decision making, and therefore affect my community.  A college degree will not guarantee me a job, but I feel that is will be a key to unlock opportunities I would not have without it.” The professors at Foothill College will be excited to see her on the 1st day and will no doubt begin helping her unlock those opportunities.
