“Although shy, Eric never shies away from showing his curiosity and determination to make things happen.”  These are words from his Spanish teacher.  Eric is a giver, a risk taker and most importantly a break-dancer.  He spent last summer in Nicaragua helping students learn English but what he really wants to do is open up a community center in order to teach others how to break-dance.  His solid work ethnic and passion to create a better life for himself and those around him will no doubt be important in his quest for a college education.  While admitting that he was terribly shy as a younger child, he now wants to major in marketing so that he can get the word out about the great things he has planned.  At CSU Northridge there is no doubt he will continue to come out of his shell and take on new challenges.
