People describe Ashley as “outgoing yet approachable, energetic yet serious, and always joyful.”  Despite many challenges at home and in her community Ashley has made a conscious decision to take a more positive course by surrounding herself with friends who value honesty and integrity.  Her interest in Japanese culture lead her to apply for and be accepted to a summer program in Japan.  Upon returning home she was more mature and confident than ever with a desire to share her experiences with everyone.  She hopes to major in Chemistry and one day become a pharmacist because she likes to help others in a way that involves science.  Ashley’s laughter and always-positive attitude will be missed at East Side College Prep next year as she begins her new journey at San Francisco State.
